Celebrate Smithsonian Museum Alive Day with a train ride to the Vermont Marble Museum!
Museum Day Live! is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian magazine in which participating museums across the country offer free admission.
Celebrate Smithsonian Museum Alive Day at the Vermont Marble Museum and Gift Shop on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm! Come and see our 2nd annual carved pumpkin display with over 150 pumpkins throughout the Museum.
There will be refreshments in the Museum’s garden for purchase – hot dogs from West Street Market, pizza and wings from Franklins, and Ben & Jerry ice cream!
Take the train from Rutland Depot to the Vermont Marble Museum – departure times are: 8:30 am, 11:30 am, and 3:30 pm. Train ride costs just $10.00/adult and $3.00/child – tickets on sale the morning of September 26 beginning at 8am in front of the Rutland Depot. Last train departs back to Rutland Depot at 5:30 pm.
Admission to the Museum is free that day!
